Cardiac Surgery
Cardiac surgery involves surgical intervention on the heart and/or adjacent great vessels to treat heart disease (ischemic, congenital, valvular, etc) and other conditions. Examples include: coronary artery bypass grafting, heart transplant, off-pump bypass surgery, cardiopulmonary bypass, etc.
