    Great picture (betraying my ADDish tendencies), distracted by it! Interesting post. But it seems to me that my son doesn't just get lost in the details. Rather, he interprets things differently and, in effect, constructs a different whole. This may freak the neurotypical out so that they label a narrative fragmentary.
    It's as if he thought in code and those who know and love him have the decoder so can follow the argument. But to outsiders it is gibberish, or seemingly random details.

    Thanks for the comment and some personal perspective on this issue.

    The photo comes from a power line fire in my neighbors yard this summer. There's another picture and description in a CNN iReport I put together.
