judy, the difference you saw could be due to the fact that before a certain point in time people ate more whole foods such as whole milk or butter instead of skim milk and margerine which contain none of the good saturated fats which stabalize insulin levels and provide all sorts of other healthy benefits when compared to fake butters and foods that are full of hydrogenated oils and trans fats and all sorts of other chemicals i think it could be very possible that in our quest to be healthier we as people begaun substituting things for saturated fats which our bodies actually need but the things we substituted were things that have no busness being in our bodies in the first place which could account for the difference you observed also for the growing ammount of obesity in children and young adults especially in the united ststes but then again, i don’t know nothing just guessing

Hi there,
I came across your site while doing a little digging around recent news about researchers in Canada looking at using nanotech to target cancer is specific parts of the body. In the case I found it was in the liver and the test species was a rabbit. Really quite a neat development that is happening in nanotechnology.

Just to clear some stuff about the organic milk.. if you are not getting a reaction from it it’s not because it is hormone and pesticide free. Milk contains lactose which is what you’re allergic to, not the hormones and pesticides. After age one we lose 60-67% of our ability to digest lactose because we no longer need our mother’s breast milk. Skim milk actually has no calcium benefit either because there isn’t enough fat to produce proper absorbtion. Think about it, the early puberty seen in girls and the so called “fat-loss” is because of the hormones pumped into the milk. Please consider the dairy industry has commercials on TV. They are selling us something we don’t need and is unhealthy, just like red bull advertises for it’s drink, so does the dairy industry. They just want money and people are happy to believe anything these days. Use your heads, we drink our mother’s milk to give us the largest growth spurt of our lives: 200% of out body weight gained in 12 months. We are the only species to drink another animals milk, and milk after birth. Cows are only used for milk because they have the highest production rate and can produce the amount made in a month in a day after given hormones, we could be drinking zebra milk for all that the dairy industry cares. Think about it guys, I’m sixteen and I did.

I see several problems with this organism. First it was the DNA that was synthetic not the entire cell. He did not synthesize the cell walls. He did not synthesize the organelles. He did not synthesize the protoplasm. He merely sucked out the DNA from a M. genitalium
and replaced it with his synthetic version. That is not synthetic life just DNA from the organism being replaced with a synthetic version.

So, I wonder what would happen, if through RNAi technology, someone were to introduce MORE mutant protein codes into the DNA by mapping the genetics of the protein… would the DNA “police” intercept the codes, destroy ALL of the protein cells with that mapping and essentially prohibiting the trigger for cell aging — and we live forever?

I feel like slowing of the aging process will happen very gradually. Its already been shown in flies that delaying the time when they reproduce will extend their life significantly. I’d really rather like to see a study that compared the effect of meat of animals that have been pastured and fed a more natural diet and meat of animals that have been pretty much nothing but corn was compared.
Since this should have an influence on the Omega 6 content and the Omega 6 to Omega 3 content in a person’s diet supposedly an effect on heart disease, this would make a difference.
“would make a difference” is of course a much too biased way to put it. I rather should have said “might make a difference” or “would be interesting to see”.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a very powerful chelator of heavy metals, most notably Mercury. The life extension properties of ALA are likely due to its chelation effect, with the implication that heavy metal accumulation is a significant cause of aging.
More information is at:
http://www.noamalgam.com
Because ALA is such a powerful chelator, it should not be taken for any other application. The chelation process is a fairly precise one (once every four hours, day AND night, three days per week), one should check out the above website for more details prior to using ALA.
I have chelated with ALA for nearly 4 years and have found it to be rather profound, in the positive sense.

Treating arrhythmia the standard way (drugs + operations) can be pretty expensive. Of course, in some cases this is the only cure, but in other cases arrhythmia can be cured and can ONLY be cured by following a certain diet. But you have go through some tests first to see if your arrhythmia is caused by a physical flaw in your heart or from other factors (stress, bad nutrition, etc.). How do I know it works? I’m a living example! None of three different pills doctors prescribed me had any effect, but the change of diet did. Read my whole story (along with complete medical documentation) here:

It is an interesting fact that heat-stable enterotoxins, which are produced by certain pathogenic gut bacteria, bind to the guanylyl cyclase-C receptor.
Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli bacterial species produce heat-stable enterotoxins, for example.
From the results of this study, it would seem reasonable to hypothesize that an interaction between the guanylyl cyclase-C receptor and heat-stable enterotoxins may precipitate ADHD.

I started taking quercetin suppliments and within about 4 days I found my symptoms reduced. Blood tests 3 weeks later revealed “normal” bloods. Not once in years have I had anything close to “normal” bloods. My inflammation factor was usually sky high but now it is normal. I also feel a lot better in myself and have not really experienced any crohn’s symtoms since starting them. I have a lot of faith that quercetin is doing a great job in helping my condition.

A lot of the essential things on the globe happen to be accomplished by individuals who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope in any respect.
Even though the law of competition might be sometimes hard for your individual, it’s advisable to the race, as it ensures the survival of the fittest in each and every department.
Drug users have known this for years. Grapefruit juice inhibits the action of the cytochrome P450 system, which is responsible for breaking down many compounds in the liver. The upshot is that the drug remains in circulation in active form for much longer.
Oh, man! Now I can chase my weed with GJ!! THANKS!!!
I had the opposite experience with Crestor and Grapefruit.
Eating Grapefruit every night and taking Crestor I didn’t notice any side effects and my Cholesterol numbers didn’t change much. After a week without Grapefruit, from a sitting position it took about 15 steps before I was walking fully upright because of muscle cramping. I didn’t wait to see if my numbers changed, I stopped using Crestor.
We tried doing this in biology. Because of the nature of the way cells grow and produce recombinant drugs, it would be vastly preferable for biopharmaceutical companies to produce their drugs in a continuous fashion. Unfortunately, this will never fly with the regulators for several reasons. Chief among them is quality validation. Continuous production line products cannot be broken into distinct batches, which makes tracability much harder. Additionally, continuous production creates problems with sterility as contaminants and byproducts build up within the system, rather than being expunged at the end of a traditional batch process.

Just a comment about myself, I have for my whole LIFE had WHOLE MILK every single day. I HATE skim milk or any other type of altered milk and prefer milk to ANY OTHER drink.
I have NEVER been on a diet in my life, I have never had to. I am female and have an hour glass shape, great muscle tone, great skin and its NOT genetic. All my family are overweight. I am nearly fifty and I wouldnt walk to the letterbox to get the mail (means I hate exercise and even refused to participate when I was at school, even under threat of not receiving year passes!)
I NEVER touch oil. No olive oil, no salad dressings, wont cook with it, and I have NEVER had an ounce of fat on me (and yes I have been checked by doctors) Guys, type this is the search bar *search engine: “human body not meant to eat oil” and read some of the crap youve been told is actually causing your problems! It is POISON.
There are GOOD fats and BAD fats. A good fat is those found in Nuts and Avacados and MILK!
A cow (goat etc) is a perfect living thing, and milk is a perfect food, there is nothing that needs to be added or taken away from it. Nothing, the only reason companies drain out the cream is so they can charge you more for the process and call it skim milk, then they take the cream they removed and sell it to you as a separate product called cream, meaning they get four times the price for the base product.
Whole milk contains every single vitamin, mineral and nutrient a human needs in a single day. You could LIVE on it.
A mother cow does NOT feed toxin to its calf. The milk produced by the cow is from the grass it eats (or grains) but it is still ‘filtered’ by the cows body before it is produced. Any toxins in the cows food supply would be filtered by its body and sent to its own fat cells. It wouldnt make it into the milk.
So do some more research people.
Milk is the best thing you could include in your diet.
The worst thing you could include is OIL or SOY.
Read a bit about that!
Growth hormone in milk… H’mmm… it isnt passed through. Your own body makes your own growth hormone. It comes from glands in your own brain. You cant get a ‘dose’ from milk.

Cancer cells exist in two forms: epithelial cancer cells and mesenchymal cancer cells. The primary tumor is mostly comprised of rapidly dividing epithelial cancer cells that are “sticky” so they stay together, they’re not mobile and generally not invasive. Cells at the edge of tumors often change into mesenchymal cancer cells; they lose their adhesiveness and become highly mobile and invasive, allowing the cancer to spread, or metastasize, to other areas of the body
How does experience change brain cells so that we (and rats and pigeons) can recall information? Our brains seem to be more or less programmable through experience. What are the chemical switches that are placed in states and which also retain those states? How are the neurons written to and how are they read? Understanding the mind is bound to be one of the most challenging frontiers of the next century.
I have tried the sweet purple potatoe twice already and it is very delicious. Just bake in oven for one hour. Then cut as you would any potatoe and eat with butter. So should we be standing while we work on our computers? I know it was a trend a while back for increased productivity..
Time for to put this into action!

If we needed any more proof I’d say this demonstrates evolution in action. The organism develops the simplest and most necessary survival mechanisms over millions and millions of years before it develops the mechanism that enables it to become conscious of its surroundings. I believe this response as observed demonstrates that “conscioness” develops in response to the complexity of surviving in an ever more complex and demanding physical enviroment.

Fantastic. Extraordinar.
PHYSICAL CONSCIOUSNESS vs. SPIRITUAL CONSCIOUSNESS
What is consciousness? We should define it first. Just as heat or smoke are symptoms of fire, so consciousness is symptom of soul or spirit. The energy of the soul or self is produced in the shape of consciousness. Indeed consciousness proves that the soul is present. This is not only the philosophy of Bhagavad-gita but the conclusion of all Vedic Literature including all Eastern Philosophy.
Consciousness is both physical and spiritual.
“Physicist Roger Penrose and neurophysiologist Stuart Hameroff claim that consciousness emerges from quantum-level elements of the brain’s cytoskeleton. The cytoskeleton is a protein based structure that maintains the integrity of living cells, including neurons. The neurons in the brain are organize into a network of microtubules of microscopic size but astronomical number. The network of microtubule is known a s “microtrabecular lattice”. It could be responsible for the quantum-receptivity of our brain, picking up, transforming, and interpreting information based on phase-conjugate resonance. But I feel that this is contrary to all religious belief particularly Eastern Philosophy. Penrose-Hameroff Model of Quantum Consciousness deals with physical consciousness. In this model brain receives (quantum -hologram receptivity) information and process them. In this model physical consciousness dominates over spiritual consciousness. The domain of physical consciousness extends up to the region of Brahmn. In English Brahmn means ever expanding. This region was created after the first Big Bang and the universe is expanding ever since. Ever expanding means ever changing. Quantum theory can be applied in this region since it deals with probability.
Spiritual consciousness deals with Self-Realization. In State of Samadhi, when soul transcends for journey into higher spiritual regions brain does not accompany Soul. It is the Soul only which realizes Itself. However, brain of the enlightened persons gets the knowledge of this experience simultaneously. It is worth mentioning here that in disembodied spirits (subtle body) there is no brain but they receive information and process them and also sometimes communicate with us. So Quantum Theory cannot be applied at the level of Spiritual Consciousness.
His Holiness Maharaj Sahab (1861-1907) wrote in Dicourses on Radhasoami Faith: “During satyauga, the creational current, having freshly descended into the third division, was highly charged with the spiritual energy which it infused in every form of animate and inanimate existence…………………………
And the human entities, in consequence of their comparatively greater spirituality and of high purity of their heart, had no difficulty in getting access at times into the astral planes and holding communion with the departed spirits. This yuga was of the longest duration” Here again there’s no brain in departed spirits and no neural or cortical activity is involved in holding communion into the astral planes. This experience is purely at spiritual level. This is the difference in physical consciousness and spiritual consciousness.
I would also like to quote few lines from Hidayatnama from Sar Bachan (Poetry) by August Founder of Radhasoami Faith His Holiness Soamiji Mahraj.
“When your eye turns inward in the brain and you see the firmament within, and your spirit leaves the body and rises upward, you will see the Akash in which is located Sahas-dal-kanwal, the thousand petals of which perform the various functions pertaining to the three worlds. …….At the apex of this Akash, there is a passage which is very small like the eye of a needle. Your Surat (spirit) should penetrate this eye. Further on, there is Banknal, the crooked path, which goes straight and then downward and again upwards. Beyond this passage comes the second stage.
Trikuti (Region having three prominences) is situated here. It is one Lakhi Yojan2 in length and one Lakh Yojan in width. There are numerous varieties of glories and spectacles at that plane which are difficult to describe. Thousands of suns and moons look pale in comparison to the light there. All the time, melodious sounds of Ong Ong and Hoo Hoo, and the sounds resembling thunder of clouds, reverberate there. On attaining this region, the spirit becomes very happy, and purified and subtle.
From here onward, it becomes cognizant of the spiritual regions. “
Quantum theory can also not be applied in Pure Spiritual Region which was created before the first Big Bang where Time and Space does not exist. Nothing can be assumed of this Region.
There is no Brain-Realization, there’s Self-Realization. Brain cannot know itself. Brain can know only surroundings. Soul or Spirit can know Itself and its surrounding. Know thyself is for God-Realization. ‘Apni khudi ko jo jana usne khuda ko pehchana’ (those who know themselves, recognize God).”

I’d like to hear from bloggers if they can recall the epithany moment, the sudden realization or comprehension of themselves as living, being, seperate and distinct entities – ie “a person.”
At what age did this occur? Do you remember where you were or what you had been doing immediately prior to this “awakening” experience? Was it a religious, pseudo-religious or spiritual experience? What did you feel? Were you surprised? Did you smile? Did you ever tell anyone?
Spot on with this write-up, I honestly believe that this amazing site needs far more attention. I’ll probably be back again to read more, thanks for the advice!
did you ever get any help for your loss of nipple sensation??
thanks!

I have a son with severe autism. I was skinny as could be,, and do not have diabetes, nor does anyone in my family. Studies like this do not speak about the high levels of toxins in our environment,, or the mercury and thimersaol in childrens medications. My son was fine until 9 months when he got the DPT shot. He screamed for 24 hours, his arm swollen 3 times the size and he was never the same after. He suffers from autism so severe his self injurious behaviors nearly cost him his life. He is now 42 yrs old, and I account his progress and ability to live in a community group home, and working at delivering meals on wheels to the elderly on his 5 year placement at the controverial Judge Rotenberg Center in Mass. If not for that Center and those procedures (that I would only permit done at the JRC), my son would probably be dead. Ask parent of the autistic what they believe and chances are they will tell you what I am…our kids are sufferening from an environmental overload of toxicity that we mothers were living with during the pregnancy and coupled with these baby shots caused the autism. To get at the truth, be mindful that big pharma will not be blamed as the lawsuits coming out of the truth would drive them all into bankruptcy.

Our town has a gallant friend who may now be losing an uncharacterically very long battle with pancreatic cancer, with several remisions over a decade. I will read farther into this gene control info. Of related interest re gene controls – the PhD work of Christof Kock, chief scientist at the Paul Allen Institute for Brain Science, was about the blue light spectrum turning off a gene that’s connected with violent behavior. And research at Rennsaeler University has demonstrated that the blue light spectrum is effective therapy for lifting symptoms of depression & bi-polar disorder. Different light color spectrums have different quantifiable effects on growth in horticulture. Please keep an eye open for more in this interest-cluster. Thank you for your posts, Derya Unutmaz.
