The majority of adults who smoke would like to quit, but only about a third of them seek medical help and/or support to do so, according to research published in the Nov. 11 issue of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report.
Ann Malarcher, Ph.D., of the CDC in Atlanta, and colleagues analyzed data from the 2001 to 2010 National Health Interview Surveys to ascertain the status of smoking and smoking cessation in the United States.
