The Gay & Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) is calling for abstracts for the 30th Annual Conference, which will take place September 19-23, 2012, at the Westin Market Street, San Francisco, CA.
The mission of GLMA's CME/CE programming, including the Annual Conference, is to educate healthcare providers and health profession students about the unique health needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) patients and the unique challenges faced by LGBT healthcare providers and health profession students. GLMA's CME/CE programming also aims to encourage and report on research into the health needs of LGBT people.
**Please follow the guidelines for submitting an abstract application. Failure to do so may disqualify your abstract from the selection process.**
Please visit www.glma.org/conference to submit your abstract online.
In an effort to streamline our abstract submission, review and acceptance process, we are using a new online system. We highly recommend reading the instructions and tips for using this new online system prior to starting your submission.
Please create your abstract prior to beginning this online submission process. We also recommend using the spell check and word count features of your word processor to check the text of the abstract before submitting it.
If you would like to submit abstracts for multiple sessions, you must complete a separate proposal for each abstract.
In order for your submission to be complete, you must:
1. Complete the online application (including information for additional presenters)
2. Disclose relevant financial relationships (by attaching the Speaker Forms through the
online application)
3. Submitting your CV or resume (as well as CVs or resumes of other co-presenters) through the online
application
Abstract submissions must be submitted online by March 12, 2012.
Visit www.glma.org/conference for additional information about the Annual Conference.
If you have questions about the conference or how to submit an abstract, please contact annualconference@glma.org or call 202-600-8037.
GLMA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that depends on your support. If you would like to support our important work, please donate online. If you are a member, please accept our thanks.
