  • This is a complex topic and I have seen how it works in "real life". When someone is dying, I think it is a myth that the average individual has his or her life "in order" and proceeds with a feeling of emotional closure and stasis. Individuals may have mental health issues preceding the dying, which can help or hinder one's coping, or the dying itself can create mental health issues, much of the time I don't believe are adequately addressed by the system.
