Public Health

Public Health is, according to the National Institutes of Health, "The science and practice of protecting and improving the health of a community..." It involves research and efforts to develop and improve prevention and treatment of communicable and noncommunicable diseases, sanitary measures, education, and infrastructure. Areas of public health can include policy, management, epidemiology, maternal & child health, biostatistics, environmental health, health behavior, and nutrition. The public health portal collects and indexes all of the contributors and content in these areas, with topics including everything from the Alma Ata Declaration to HIPAA to the World Health Organization.

Portals organize content on Medpedia by topic. Find Articles to edit, create missing Articles and earn points, and find active Contributors with this interest or expertise. See how you can get recognized for your contributions.
