Orthopedics (also Orthopaedics) is the area of medicine focused on the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedists, orthopedic physicians and orthopedic surgeons focus on preventing and correcting (usually through therapy or surgery) problems of bones, muscles, joints and ligaments.
