Epidemiology

Epidemiology is a specialty area within public health that examines factors that contribute health and disease in populations. The goal of epidemiological research is to find causes of disease, improve methods of disease prevention, and evaluate and develop public health programs. Epidemiologists study both infectious and noninfectious diseases. The epidemiology portal collects and indexes all of the contributors and content in these areas, with topics including obesity, plague, HIV/AIDS, and E. coli.
