What's the reason for twitching of the eyelids?

Any deficiency? Is there any problem behind that?

Involuntary eyelid twitching can be caused by a number of things including, fatigue, stress, lack of sleep, caffiene and some medications (as a side effect). Persistent eyelid twitching is called blepharospasm and may represent basal ganglion dysfunction which controls some of the facial muscles. This is usually a benign condition. You may need to see your health care provider, specifically an opthamologist who is a specially trained eye doctor, to determine if this is the cause of symptoms if you have persistent blinking or eyelid twitching.

To my knowledge, vitamin and nutritional deficiencies have not been identified as a causes for blepharospasm.
