Would someone with an orphan disease whom one of the symptoms are chronic diarrhea be considered as having IBS?

My son has Barth Syndrome. One of the symptoms is chronic diarrhea. Would this be considered as having Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

    Children with Barth syndrome are often given incorrect diagnoses. Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a catchall term for unexplained digestive complaints.
