What is Hydroxylapatite used for in spine surgery?

Does it really promote bone growth w/o the use of an implantable device?
Meaning- in a fusion attempt- will the adding of HA to the decorticyzed bone promote fusion?
In spine surgery, e.g. postero-lateral fusion - will it help to promote posterior fusion by adding it to autograft bone?

    Ca HA is the main component in Ethical Nutrients Bone Builder. I've personally gotten feedback from former customers that they have gotten the best results with this form of Calcium compared to any others.
