A twenty year survivor of transplantation has developed swelling of feet, diarrhea, fever... this could be symptomatic of what?
The patient received a heart transplant at 9 days of age. Underwent a kidney transplant at 9 years, after drugs caused kidney failure. Now, at age 20, he is experiencing severe swelling of feet, has had diarrhea for 3 weeks, and had a fever (102) recently. He has undergone blood testing and echo exams with nothing critical showing up. Any thoughts on what could be happening here?

answered Jul 27, 2010 at 11:39AMHas he pain feet?has he ever had varicose veins or tromboflebitis? Has he had an echocardiogram with doppler? Tromboflebitis, for example, could have this symptoms, but is very difficult do a diagnosis without a clinical examination and medical test. I would like to recive news.
