    The precautions for avoiding a second infection are the same as avoiding a first infection: that is, to avoid mosquito bites by infected mosquitoes. If you have had dengue fever before, the subsequent infections can make you at increased risk for severe complications, so avoidance is a good idea.

    You can contract dengue fever 4 times as there are 4 varieties. Wishing you the best on avoiding this irritating illness.

    Unfortunately not much preventive measures are helpful.The dengue mosquitoes bite during the day..so a mosquito net at night(which is a common practice) would not help.
    There is a dengue vacccine....with no clear data on prevention.
    Prevent any breeding places near the house
