Yes, that should not be a problem. Lovaza is concentrated omega-3 'fish oil,' the very kind you would get from eating salmon. When used as a drug, as in your case, omega-3 is intended to lower triglycerides. Tricor- a kind of lipid-lowering agent known as a fibrate- exerts some effect on triglycerides, but is more effective at lowering LDL. The effects of the two, therefore, should be complementary and of particular use if you have high LDL and triglycerides, and a low HDL. There are combinations of lipid-lowering agents that can produce potentially dangerous interactions- most notably, a statin and a fibrate- but your combination is not one of them.
