What matters most in life?

As a Millennium Survey, the Gallup organization polled the international public on the question What matters most in Life? http://www.gallup-international.com/ContentFiles/millennium16.asp. The request was posed as follows: “Tell me only the two things that matters the very most in life?"

• To have a job
• To get an education
• To be faithful to my religion
• To have a good standard of living
• To live in a country where there is not war
• To have a happy family life
• To live in freedom
• To live in a country without violence and corruption
• To have good health

    I would say that the most important thinks are
    Self awareness
    compassion towards other people
    this is what makes us humane.

    First and foremost, to be healthy.

    Kim, were you being facetious? Or maybe I am when I ask the following questions of you: but were you actually noting as “mattering most” in life: "love of money"? or was it "to love someone who has money"? Note that of the 9 possible responses in the survey, none mention "love" nor "money" per se. Do you think that being a billionaire such as Bill Gates really can trump a host of other potentials which matters most in life. For example a stable marriage or remaining healthy? The opposing question is "can those who are poor have a good life?" What do you think? Maybe money is the critical element which matters the most. ..Maurice.

    acc to ayurveda a quotation goes like this " sarvamanyam parityajeth shareeram anupaalayeth", says that" follow health leave all the things". hence, it is the health first and i would like to add one more, to live in freedom
