There are no dangers of Lortab that are specific to patients who have had a heart stent.
Lortab (also sold as Vicodin) is a brand name for a narcotic pain medication, a combination of hydrocodone (a narcotic or opioid, see
http://wiki.medpedia.com/Opioid ) and acetaminophen (a non-narcotic which is also sold by itself under the brand name Tylenol; see also
http://wiki.medpedia.com/Acetaminophen ). Different dosages and proportions of the two drugs are available. Narcotics are associated with addiction, changes in mental status, lowered breathing rate and other side effects, but are commonly given to patients after surgery, including cardiac surgery. Acetaminophen is a common pain reliever, and has side effects of its own, but is also commonly used after surgery for relatively mild pain. In the sense that any medication is associated with adverse effects, and can be dangerous even if used properly, it is difficult to specifically say that Lortab is "safe" after a cardiac stent; perhaps it is best said that the heart stent doesn't make it more unsafe.
