Cesamet (Nabilone) is a synthetic (man made) cannabinoids (marijuana) medication used to prevent nausea and vomiting in cancer patients. It can be addictive and should only be taken on the advice and prescription by a licensed physician.
It can interfer with other medications like antidepresants, heart medications, andothers so make sure your physician and pharmacist know your medications.
On a normal Urinalysis, drugs are not usually screened for. On a Urine Drug Screen, typically cannabinoids are detected and most likely this will be as well. They is a way to prcess it further to determine if the positive first screen is from marijuana or Nabilone, but it is expensive. Better option is to make sure the physician or office doing the drug screen is aware of your use of Nabilone and that you have a prescription for it's use.
