With any medical treatment or procedure, it is helpful to get a second opinion, especially if there are questions as to the utility, risks, or benefits of the treatment. Obviously, in emergencies, there may not be time to solicit a second opinion. But if this procedure is elective, a second opinion may be helpful.
Make sure and provide all the documentation that has been done, such as catheterization films, etc so you will save your time and the time of the consulting physician. Make sure these records are complete and you will get a better opinion.
