There is hardly any difference between symptoms of common flu and swine flu (Human H1N1 pandemic flu). However, from the preliminary findings of analysis of cases in Mexico swine flu patients may present with cough, fever, running nose (95-98%) diarrhea, nausea vomiting (45-55%), shortness of breath and joint pain (48% & 46%). Some atypical symptoms are also common in those who are already suffering from other serious diseases (Reference: MMWR, April 30, 2009 / 58(Dispatch);1-3).
