I do not think there is any connection. I am a Canadian so I can't say for sure what all the details are of your health care reforms. I can say that Alzheimer's numbers are going up at a staggering rate and that the costs associated with the disease have been and will continue to skyrocket. I think that Obama truly wants to solve that problem, I think he truly wants to change the US's philosophy on a lot of things. From our standpoint as Canadians, and I think Europeans feel the same way, we feel that he is on the right track. There has been a lot of fear mongering that we even see here in Canada. The truth is that heath care for every citizen is a norm for most western countries, the philosophy of the US of every person for themselves is the exception. No system is perfect, but I think that you should not be afraid of government control. As a Canadian I have faith in our system, for the most part it works very well, we do not bankrupt ourselves to pay for health care when we need it.
