In general yervoy produces a prolonged stable disease with slowly declining tumor masses.Sometimes patients may have increase in tumor volume prior in the beginning of the therapy and later during the therapy a slow steady decline is observed.

The issue of correlation between adverse immune related adverse events and good tumor response is still a controversial one . There are some studies which have shown that the development of immune related adverse events is associated with good tumor response while there are other studies which failed to establish a correlation between adverse immune related reactions and objective response rates.
