Is it possible to get migraines from running?

I drink a ton of water, meaning probably between 5 & 8 of the 500ml water bottles a day. I also run about 3 to 6 miles about 3 days a week. At least 1 of those days I will get a severe migraine. I really do believe it is dehydration, any suggestions?

Could be side effects of other things you are taking, eating or drinking. What kind of water do you usually drink - distilled, city water, with minerals? Do you drink fast?

Try Aurametrix to figure out what is the reason for your migraines. You can also check it to see why other people felt dehydrated.

Since either overhydration (drinking too much water) or dehydration (inadequate water replacement) may along with other factors precipitate a migraine headache, the answer to your question is to change your water drinking habits one way or another over a period of time and observe and record the results. In any event, since you haven't described your full medical history, the above suggestion should be done with the approval of your doctor. ..Maurice.
