Need advice on 20 wk science project
Maybe not the best forum to ask this in, but I'll give it a shot.
I'm in medicine school in Sweden and next fall I'll have to do a 20 week project. I have to find a mentor and a suitable project. Since I studied medical informatics before medschool I'm thinking about the areas of robotic surgery, imaging modalities or something like that.
I'd like to do the project abroad, right now I'm thinking about searching for mentors in California or in Tokyo. Any ideas? I speak english well but no japaneese.
I'd appreciate any advice or tips!

I'm the influenza surveillance coordinator for Maryland, and we're always coming up with projects for influenza surveillance and outbreak response. If you go to http://cste.org, you will find a list of health departments in the different States, including California. Perhaps you can send them an e-mail or call them directly?
