    No!!!!
There has not been one single piece of literature published in the scientific literature that shows any correlation between these 2 elements and Alzheimer's Disease.
(but then again I did receive the H1N1 vaccine and it did contain thiomersal so I could have forgotten what I read in the past)
btw - Thiomersal is an organomercury compound (approximately 49% mercury by weight)

Currently, there is no scientific evidence to suggest that either of these two additives cause Alzheimer's Disease. While there are some reports of aluminum potentially having some effect, due to in vitro studies, no studies in human beings have found a link between the two.

To date, long term vaccine studies have shown no effects on brain function. Thus, the risk of illness due to NOT receiving a vaccine is likely substantially greater than the risk of contracting Alzheimer's disease from a vaccine.

No! I second both the above answers. I'll also add that there is no "mercury additive" in vaccines. Thimerosal, which contains mercury, is a preservative used in very tiny trace amounts in some vaccines, but not in any of the standard childhood vaccines. Dozens of studies have been completed, all showing that thimerosal in vaccines is completely safe. Aluminum is used, also in trace amounts, as an adjuvant in some vaccines - which makes them more effective with less of the immunogenic agent. In other words, we can put less of the killed virus (for viral vaccines) in the shot and still generate a vigorous immune response.
You get way more exposure to aluminum just by using aluminum foil to wrap your food. And no, that doesn't cause Alzheimer's either.
Vaccines are probably the single greatest boon to human health since indoor plumbing. It's easy to find quacks on the Internet who claim that vaccines are harmful, but they are grievously mistaken. (See my blog for more on flu vaccines, http://genome.fieldofscience.com.)

Also a resounding "NO" from me. The risk of any kind of reaction from any vaccine for any reason is tiny in comparison to the risk of getting or spreading an infection. Tiny. A drop in about twelve gallons of water (ballpark).

We have no scientific evidence of what causes Alzheimer's Type Dementia. The idea that heavy metals was the cause was popular in the late 1980's and early 1990's. There were individuals who had fillings removed by dentist unnecessarily and through away aluminum utensils. All for naught. There is no link!
