Ectopic pregnancies may decrease fertility if the embryo implanted itself in a location that causes scarring of the fallopian tubes, or if the surgery to remove the ectopic pregnancy causes scarring. This is something probably best answered by your OB/GYN or your surgeon.
If someone has had an ectopic pregnancy, then there is likely some factor related to your anatomy that does predispose you to ectopic pregnancies. This is also best addressed by your OB/GYN with close follow-up of any pregnancy by ultrasound.
That being said, many women who have had ectopic pregnancies and then go on to have successful pregnancies, so this should not discourage you! Good luck!
