The saliva test for Candida Albcans is available OTC (over the counter) and it will tell you if you have yeast in your morning saliva. The presence of yeast is normal. All our skin surfaces have bacteria and yeast and the oral cavity is no different. It belongs there in certain amounts and the presence of yeast does not mean you have a systemic yeast infection (fungemia). In fact, systemic yeast infections are lethal and require specialized care and treatment. There was a lot of popularity in diagnosing and treating "yeast" in your system based on your symptomology. The treatment required a very strict diet and people felt better. I think the strict diet did more to treat their over well being and that was good. It was healthy. I don’t know if it treated yeast throughout your body and I am sure it didn’t treat systemic fungemia.
