The major contributors to "Gas & Bloating" is our digestive process. The normal digestive process of breaking down food, specially carbohydrates (starches and sugars) is to produce methane gas. It also produces some amounts of ethanol. The more you put in your gut via eating and the longer it stays there, the more gas is formed and retained (bloating). The key is to eat small, balanced meals and exercise. Soft, regular bowel movements are necessary. Therefore, eat less, eat balanced meals, adequate fiber, exercise (walk) and avoid constipation.
