Is there a shortage of raw materials to process the drug Zovirax? If so, why?

0Votesanswered Feb 16, 2010 at 10:31AMA few drug reps here in Oklahoma City where talking about it . It was said that some of the raw materials were being used for another needed drug leaving a shortage for manufacturing of Zovirax. I work at the Trauma Center and thought it interesting that there could be such a shortage and wondered which compound was is such demand.
