Are stress tests performed on patients with aortic dissections?

    yes, stress tests are performed on many individuals with heart conditions and vascular conditions. They do not need to be treadmill test. They can chemically perform a stress test if the risk of a cardiac event is too high.
    • Thank you Gerry for your answer,sorry it took me so long on top of all my problems ive been hit with a bout of diverticulitis- I was concerned as a its been 7 years since my dissection and heart valve were repaired and have been taking beta blockers with 3 other medications for blood pressure control to preserve whats left of a chronic dissection -had some chest pain from a specific medication but the er md suggested
      this not leave a stone unturned-im a little concerned and will get all my mds involved before i do this..Thanks again Michael
