About me

I am a mom of MY SANDWICH GENERATION who has been shoved unmercifully between many thick slices of multi-generational bread.. making it TOTALLY easy to speak, write and utter dire warnings to all my BFF’S whose meal is on it’s way. This group of fearless and incredibly naive women and men recognize the importance of caring for our older family but have not found five seconds to read up on the subject..until it’s (she’s) knocking on our door..only because we’re too drat BUSY chasing after our young LEGO building, NERF shooting attack kids to do it. That’s MY bottom slice of bread I’m talking about. Lying on my face..The UPPER slice, recipients of my eldercare are— my “I’m all that”, mother-in-law Ru with AHBAD (Alzheimer’s Halted By Adorable Dudes) who holds the firm belief that she IS Madonna. PLUS, my reckless, risk taking 95 yr young electric scooter bound granny Marnie. Who insists on sporting a hairpiece— which is my all time favorite from the ROAD KILL 07 collection, named AMY.

Why I participate in Medpedia

The men and women of MY SANDWICH GENERATION will have the knowledge to do eldercare with more grace and ease than any generation before us. We are realistic, focused & dedicated.. realizing the importance of a fulfilling life for ourselves so that we CAN give more to our whole family. We are teaching our children the greatest lesson of all..We take care of each other through all of life’s stages. Then we always remember to laugh and find the sweetness in what we do..because it’s right there in front of us. Through my own experiences readers learn, laugh & fall in love with the hysterical adventures of a mom thrust into a SANDWICH she never saw coming until she was in the middle of it. The Granny Diaries, is both humorous and educational; touching on situations we all may encounter as we face our ever-expanding eldercare meal. My objective? Educating MY SANDWICH GENERATION on preparing the most fulfilling (and palatable) multi-generational “sandwich” for everyone who comes to the table.
