About me
I worked in the health care field for 25 years. After leaving my job, I developed pain in the mid-spine and left ribcage that was constant and worse when lying down. It took about 5 years before I was taken seriously by a physician. Eventually, I was seen by an anesthesiologist who was able to determine that the pain was coming from a damaged spinal nerve. About 4 years ago, I learned that I have Alpha-1, a genetic disease that has no cure. Other family members have it and we have lost one sister to the effects on her lungs and liver at age 51.

I would like to share some of my knowledge and experiences with others who may be facing similar health problems.
