Professional summary

I am a general psychiatrist with some training in neurology, presently working at the Urgent Behavioral Care clinic. My academic specialty is posttraumatic disorders. I have developed the Cape Cod Model of theory and psychotherapy for such disorders and for severe personality disorders. I did so while I was Medical Director for the Cape Cod and the Islands Community Mental Health Center. My goal was to mainstream the recognition and psychotherapy of these disorders. I am active academically and administratively with the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD). I have been on the clinical faculty of Johns Hopkins, University of Massachusetts and Harvard.
