Judy A Stone MD
Infectious Diseases physician and author, "Conducting Clinical Research"
Cumberland, MD
Professional summary
I am an Infectious Diseases physician who had a busy solo, 100 percent ID practice in rural Cumberland, Maryland for 25 years. In addition to my active clinical practice, I have had considerable experience attracting and successfully conducting numerous Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials for a variety of infectious disease indications over more than 20 years. I enjoy being a speaker on antibiotics, infectious diseases, and ethical aspects of drug development. I volunteered to teach about HIV, STDs and infections in Dharamsala, India, in 2004. Subsequently, I attended the Gorgas Expert Course in Tropical Medicine in Lima, Peru, in 2005 and the Asian Tropical Infectious Diseases Course in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2006. I am also the author of “Conducting Clinical Research: A Practical Guide for Physicians, Nurses, Study Coordinators, and Investigators.” Currently, I am looking for other work/teaching opportunities, where I might make a larger impact.
