Michael J. Paidas, M.D., is Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics,Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, Yale University School of Medicine and Co- Director of the Yale Women and Children’s Center for Blood Disorders. After receiving his medical degree from Tufts University in 1987, he completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital in 1991. Following residency, he completed a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1993. He has served on the faculties of Tufts University and New York University prior to coming to Yale in 2002. After receiving his medical degree from Tufts University, he completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital. Following residency, he completed a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He has served on the faculty of Tufts University and New York University prior to coming to Yale in 2002. Dr. Paidas' areas of interest include the prevention of adverse pregnancy outcomes, such as fetal loss, fetal growth restriction, preeclampsia, preterm delivery and theirlong term maternal consequences; hemostasis disorders affecting pregnancy, novel embryo derived proteins regulating implantation, and Doppler evaluation of the fetal and uteroplacental circulation.
