After finishing residency in Pediatrics at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, I joined a private practice in Phoenix, Arizona for two years. I love teaching and returned to St. Joseph's in 1998 to join the Pediatric Faculty for the Pediatric Residency Program. I became the Pediatric Residency Program Director in 2005. My passion is improving quality of care for children and promoting best care practices by teaching pediatric residents. I have dedicated considerable time to developing a curriculum for continuous quality improvement for residents. I am also studying factors that lead to promoting life long self directed learning for residents.
