My current interests since the past 2 decades is to link factors from the market success of new drugs to increase R&D efficiency and productivity. Evaluation of R&D projects at any stage of development, clinical trial & project management. I am on the lookout for breakthrough drugs or outlier drugs which stand apart from the ordinary R&D projects or drugs looking for a disease. Strive to bring better, safe, effective and affordable drugs to the market. Worked with and contributed to over 250 projects in more than 100 different indications in the CV, CNS, Metabolic, Rheumatic Diseases, Immune disorders , Cancer, Infectious Diseases, Pain, Addiction etc. Peak sales of some of the drugs worked on was >6.5 billion dollar in 2007. Evaluation of thousands of R&D projects from concept, discovery and development stages. Currently follow mainly blockbuster market leaders, most of the drugs in Phase III and under regulatory review as well as first in the class innovative breakthrough drugs in R&D. Current interests: Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Rheumatoid arthritis,Osteoarthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, multiple scelrosis, sepsis or septic shock, lupus, cystic fibrosis, solid cancers, transplantation, autoimmune and metabolic disorders, RSV, MRSA, antivirals, antifungal, antibacterial, peptides, biologics, vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. Other interests are in regulatory aspects of FDA, EMA and GCP, Bioethics, Informed consent and clinical trials. International pharma executive with a successful track record in new drug development, project management, business development, licensing, market introduction/support, contract and external research management and training. Established leadership and ability to get results. Extensive contacts with key scientific, medical and technical academic and industrial leaders worldwide.
