If I had three children in four years after age 35, and am now 39 years old, can I expect my fertility to remain, or will I likely suffer from infertility if I want a child at age 42 simply because I am old?

Fertility declines with age. The first decline at age 27. No one can predict your fertility except to say that you are more likely to conceive a child at 35 than 42.
