What could cause chronic back pain? MRIs show nothing and physical therapy does not help. Only meds help the constant pain. Are tehre any known causes, or good alternative treatments?

I would strongly recommend chiropractic treatment.

You might also try massage therapy, Interferential current therapy (IFC), ultrasound massage.

What therapy options do I have if I think I have a bulging disc pressing against the sciatic nerve? I have no insurance so have not been able to get an MRI.

I have been through five low back surgeries and had physical therapy prior to each of them.

Stretching, massage, walking and gel ice packs will provide some relief. Laying around and not moving...
